Detectie sau identificare?


Una din intrebarile adresate clientului pentru a-i putea propune camera corecta este: 
Ce doriti sa faca respectiva camera-detectie sau identificare? 
Adica imaginea obtinuta sa arate ca exista in planul respectiv cinci oameni (generic) sau sa identifice cine sunt acesti cinci oameni (personalizare)? 
Daca raspunsul este identificare, atunci instalatorul trebuie sa aiba cunostintele necesare pentru a imperechea camera potrivita cu lentila potrivita pentru a obtine rezultatul asteptat de client, iar bugetul va fi pe masura. Undeva insa, la client sau la instalator, informatia nu ajunge, caci statisticile arata ca 80% din imaginile care ajung la politie pentru identificare sunt inutile. 
Asa ca ne intoarcem la manualul instalatorului care traseaza urmatoarele observatii (luand drept criteriu o persoana cu inaltimea de 1,7m):

-monitorizare si control: silueta ocupa cel putin 5% din inaltimea imaginii pe monitor, iar scena nu este aglomerata fara motiv; dispecerul trebuie sa fie capabil sa vizualizeze numarul oamenilor, directia si viteza cu care acestia se misca intr-o perspectiva larga

-detectie: silueta ocupa cel putin 10% din imagine, iar la o eventuala alarma, dispecerul ar trebui sa fie capabil cu precizie sa observe daca o persoana este sau nu prezenta in imagine

-observatie: silueta trebuie sa ocupe intre 25-30% din imagine, iar dispecerul poate sa observe trasaturi caracteristice ale persoanei, precum detalii ale articolelor de imbracaminte, imaginea ramanand destul de larga pentru a permite monitorizarea activitatii in cazul unui eveniment

-recunoastere: cand silueta ocupa cel putin 50% din imagine, dispecerul poate spune cu siguranta daca persoana din imagine este sau nu aceeasi cu persoana vazuta anterior

-identificare: acum silueta ocupa cel putin 100% din imagine, iar calitatea imaginii si detaliile referitoare la aceasta ar trebui sa fie suficiente pentru a identifica o persoana fara niciu dubiu   

Va prezentam mai jos doua tabele care prezinta lentilele necesare pentru a face identificare in functie de distantele la care se afla subiectul:



Categoriile monitorizare si detectie sunt potrivite pentru vizualizarea unui plan larg precum parcari; categoria observatie se refera la observarea unor grupuri de oameni precum zona din fata cluburilor sau cafenelelor, ori zona centrului orasului pentru ca ofera destule detalii ale subiectilor dar si contextul in care se misca acestia; camerele pentru recunoastere si identificare se instaleaza la punctele de intrare/iesire unde sunt necesare imagini de tip cadru-strans (close-up).

"Mosule, ce tanar esti...!"

Camere foto, camere video, camere de supraveghere video, scanere, tot ce inseamna instrument pentru captarea imaginii nu poate functiona fara CCD, care este inima.  Generatia tanara cumpara telefoane smartphone cu cea mai noua camera digitala incorporata de cativa megapixeli si cred ei ca fac istorie. 
Istoria insa curge de 43 de ani de cand CCDul (de dimensiunea unei unghii) este inventat de americanii Willard S. Boyle si George E. Smith de la AT&T Bell Labs in 1969. 

In 1981, japonezii de la Sony Corporation produc prototipul primei camere foto digitale, MAVICA (prescurtare de la Magnetic Video Camera) care obtinea o imagine de 720,000 pixeli.
In 1986, Kodak inventeaza primul senzor megapixel din lume capabil sa inregistreze o imagine de 1,4 milioane pixeli.

Douazeci de ani mai tarziu, in 2006 apare primul CCD care depaseste bariera de 100 milioane de pixeli, produs de compania americana DALSA Semiconductor pentru Departamentul de astronomie a U.S. Naval Observatory - noul senzor priveste spre stele cu o rezolutie de 10560x10560 pixeli.
In aceasta industrie, nostalgiile de tipul "era mai bine acum 20 de ani" nu exista, traim sub imperiul prezentului cu un picior in viitor, alergand in permanenta intr-o cursa contra cronometru catre mai mult, mai bine, mai puternic.

Importer - not just a middleman



Importer - "someone whose business involves importing goods from outside (especially from a foreign country)" (Thesaurus dictionary) and "a person, country or company that buys products from another country in order to sell them" (Cambridge dictionary).
Whether it is clothes, food or cctv cameras, our business is not as simple and straightforward as its definition may make it to be...and when cctv products are concerned - far from it! The video surveillance market is wide and consists of various articles that range from small, simple and unchanged for decades (power supplies, accessories....) to complex and dynamic products (cctv cameras, IP cameras, dvr boards, standalone dvrs) to latest developed technologies (IP megapixel cameras, over 600tvl cameras, HD standalone dvr...).
Yes, it is a technology driven market and latest technologies make the rules! Who remembers VCRs, multiplexers and cctv monitors? They have all been replaced in the past decades by dvr boards, DVR standalone and PC monitors. How about cctv cameras? They were big, they had CMOS video boards and they were black/white because the color video boards were too expensive. Now can be fitted with color CCD which can go up to 1020x596 pixels (Effio dsp of Sony), zoom lens and can connect to internet (IP cameras).
We consider ourselves importers of technology and we feel responsible for the quality of products we bring to our country. Therefore we have set up our own set of rules regarding the products we import and offer to clients: all cameras must have color CCDs, 420tvl is the lowest video resolution accepted, the CCDs must be of latest generation, we only purchase from manufacturers which can provide CE, ROHS certification for their products and have R&D team. We check the products and observe how they function in order to anticipate any problems our clients could have and have the answer at hand - from client's point of view it is very important to have your problems solved quickly and correctly and we feel this is the professional thing to do.
Every quality focused importer should first purchase sample products: we conduct quality and functionality check on the sample products to make sure they deliver according to specifications sheet. We feedback our observations to the manufacturer and very often they improve their products as a result. It is of paramount importance to us to standby the products we sell and simply like them - their features as well as their appearance, in order to continue our business relationship with the respective supplier. As a consequence to this principle, we stopped our relationship with two suppliers because the quality of their products has decreased or we felt we couldn't rely on the supplier's support.
The other important relationship is with our clients - may they be professional installing companies or end-users. We provide technical consultancy free of charge to both type of clients in accordance with their needs, trying to achieve a balance between what they need, what they expect, what the current technology can offer them and what they can afford to pay. We feel that the responsibility of professional installing companies is to inform the end-users in respect of what the cctv products can or cannot do, but we are happy to do it ourselves when asked!
At the end of the day, the ultimate satisfaction is to get the call back - the client says he likes the product and wants to keep supplying from our company.
